Willybert Oor has built a distinguished career in law enforcement since 1986, acquiring extensive experience across various police domains.
In his early years, he developed a passion for traffic enforcement while serving as a police motorcyclist. Over the past decades, he has held several significant roles within the Dutch National Police Force, including Chief of Community Policing, Development and Implementation Manager, and Project Leader.
Willybert has also gained valuable expertise in organizational development and cultural change processes. He is particularly dedicated to community policing and large-scale police operations in public settings, which has led to his extensive experience in operations and public crisis management. Notable roles include serving as Chief of Police in the “local triangle,” which involves collaboration among the mayor(s), public prosecutor, and police chief, as well as acting as a police advisor to municipal governments and crisis teams. He has also held the position of Chief of Traffic Mobility during major police deployments.
With a deep commitment to creating safer traffic conditions, Willybert is intrinsically motivated to contribute to ROADPOL’s mission of reducing traffic casualties across Europe.
