LITHUANIA: Vytautas Grašys

Chief Commissioner Vytautas Grašys, born in 1973, boasts over 25 years of dedicated service in the police force, including four years as the leader of the Lithuanian Traffic Police Service. He holds a Master’s degree in Law and Police from the Lithuanian Academy of Law.

Throughout his career, Vytautas has advanced through various roles in public policing, starting as an Inspector and rising to Chief Commissioner. He previously served as the head of the Public Order Board at the Vilnius County Police Headquarters and spent a decade as Chief of Staff. Since April 2016, he has led the Lithuanian Traffic Police Service.

Chief Commissioner Grašys firmly believes that mutual respect and vigilance are essential for ensuring road safety. He advocates for responsible participation in traffic, emphasizing that awareness and maturity are vital for road users. As he puts it, “My goal is to promote positive behavior and shift public attitudes towards road safety, aiming to prevent unnecessary road accidents and fatalities.”
